Artist, collector and internet-proclaimed leader of a chair cult (not entirely sure how we got here...).

I've loved making things for as long as I can remember. I was always scrapbooking, collecting little bits and bobs, making homemade gifts or starting too many creative projects at once. Things haven't really changed. Creating helps me switch off and appreciate the smaller moments in life, and I know that is the same for so many of you too.

Somewhere along the way I also became completely obsessed with chairs. It's something about their character, their endless variety of shapes, the stories they hold, and the little everyday moments spent sitting on them.

Sit Down Studio is really just an extension of all of that. It's a little concept store for people who are sentimental about objects and romaticise the things we sit with.

At the moment, it's a home for the slow creative club, art, and vintage finds but I hope that slowly over time it can become something more than that. I'd love it to become a space that champions other creatives, celebrates thoughtful collecting, and one day (if i can find some more hours in the day) becomes home to my own range of chairs...
